WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?

Coaching is about empowering people to come up with their own answers. Someone comes to a life coach to achieve a goal or to change, enhance, or improve some area of their life. Coaching takes the client from where they are to where they want to be. Coaching is results-oriented and focuses on making changes in the present. The client develops a plan of action to move forward, and the coach holds the client accountable to follow through with that plan of action. During the process, common blocks and obstacles are addressed using techniques that are legally correct to do without a counseling license.

Alyssa Waters is a Certified Spiritual Life Coach through the Life Purpose Institute who uses the foundation of life coaching skills, International Coach Federation Core Competencies, as well as proprietary techniques developed by the Life Purpose Institute.

WHAT IS SPIRITUAL COACHING?

A Spiritual Coach is someone who coaches and supports individuals or groups to explore or enhance their spirituality and integrate spirituality more fully into their everyday lives. Spiritual Coaching is a way to involve a spiritual element in the traditional coaching relationship. A spiritual coach will guide their clients to find inner happiness, peace, and harmony while supporting them on their journey to finding their own sense of wholeness.

Overall, a Spiritual Coach works with clients to form a deeper connection to their true selves. Coaches help people to learn who they are, to love who they are, and to accept wherever they are on their journey. Through deepening awareness and compassion, a Spiritual Coach guides people to rediscover themselves, take control of their lives, and make the impact they want on the world.

WHAT IS HEALTH COACHING?

A Health Coach assists clients to improve or enhance their health. A Health Coach, like other kinds of coaches, helps to set goals, asks powerful questions, helps to develop a plan, works through obstacles that are in the way, and holds clients accountable to make positive changes in their life.

SOMEONE MIGHT SEE A HEALTH COACH FOR:

Lose weight, Get more fit, Eat a healthier diet, Create optimal health (i.e. more energy, vitality, strength, youthfulness), Address a health concern by following a certain regimen (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.), Re-design their life around a health challenge (i.e. chronic fatigue, Fibromyalgia, surgery, injury, etc.), Focus on preventative health

WHAT IS A WELLNESS COACH?

A Wellness Coach helps their clients improve or enhance their health or well-being. A Wellness Coach takes a broader mind-body-spirit approach and coaches the client holistically.

Managing stress, Addressing lifestyle changes, Increasing fulfillment in everyday life, Incorporating other approaches to enhance overall well-being

WHY HIRE A LIFE COACH?

Wasting time going around in circles, trying to reach your goals, will only take up more of your irreplaceable time than you have to give. Time is a priceless resource that does not regenerate. Working with a life coach will save you time by assisting you with finding solutions faster and keeping you focused on your path so that you can achieve your goals as quickly as possible. Every successful person in sports, politics, business, entertainment, religion and life has all had coaches. None of these people got to where they are on their own. They realized early on that they would pull better versions out of themselves with the support, guidance, and accountability of a coach, Successful people ask for help.

WHERE & HOW IS A COACHING SESSION HELD?

Sessions are typically conducted over the phone or via video conference.  This allows you the freedom to take sessions from your home, office, or any location. Waters of Wisdom serves globally and welcomes any person. There is no waiting in traffic or parking and makes it easier to stay consistent with less of a time commitment.  In-person sessions are arrangeable, either at your location or mine, at a premium rate.

HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION & WHAT DO WE COVER?

Coaching sessions are typically an hour, determined beforehand, and outlined in the Client Coaching Agreement. Together we schedule appointments to fit your specific needs. You determine what you want to work on when establishing our coaching agreement but I will always check if there is something else you would like to work on at the start of every call. These are your sessions and all about YOU! You take the lead on the call or follow my suggestions and recommendations. E-mail support and/or accountability check-ins are available between sessions at an extra rate.

COACHING VS. THERAPY/COUNSELING VS. CONSULTING?

Coaching: Coaching looks at where you are right now in this very moment. It focuses on the present and assists you in moving forward to a more fulfilling and balanced future. Coaches are collaborators and specialists. Unlike therapists, they do not diagnose or treat mental disorders.

Therapy/Counseling: Counseling or psychotherapy is about healing deep emotional issues, usually arising from the past. Perhaps someone has been abused or has experienced trauma. Some people have a mental illness to the extent that it is affecting their functioning in day-to-day life. Some of these mental illnesses are depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline, or personality disorder. These are situations in which a psychotherapist is needed. Waters of Wisdom is not licensed nor trained to handle these situations.

Consulting: Consulting is about advising and giving suggestions, or information in a specialized area of expertise. Unlike coaching, the consultant tells the client what to do rather than guiding them to find their own answers. Waters of Wisdom does not provide consulting services.

IS IT CONFIDENTIAL?

Yes! No one will know that we are working together unless you tell them. Details of our sessions are never discussed with anyone.

HOW DO I CHOOSE A LIFE COACH?

The coaching relationship is a special and unique bond based on trust. It is a collaborative partnership and this decision must be about you and for you. Being able to express yourself openly and safely with your coach is imperative. Always schedule a call with your prospective coach first to gauge chemistry to ensure that you are mutually the right fit for one another. Inquire about their background, training and passion then trust your intuition or gut feeling. Is this someone you are comfortable talking to? Do you think they’ll be able to help you with your specific situation?

The reality you have today wasn’t created overnight, and the new reality you’re looking for will take a little time too. Coaching over a period of time, combined with consistent action is by far the best way to produce long-term, sustainable results, and incredible transformations.
